About This Court

Queens County Housing Court handles landlord-tenant disputes, eviction proceedings, and housing conditions cases at the Sutphin Boulevard courthouse in Jamaica.

Queens Housing Court serves a geographically large and diverse borough. The court shares a building complex with other Queens courts, so requesters should be specific about which division they need. Requests are accepted by mail and in person. Queens has a steadily growing housing docket, and the audio records office may have limited walk-in hours.

All proceedings are digitally recorded. Free audio copies are available; bring a USB drive to the courthouse. Onsite listening is also available. Written transcripts require an OCA-approved vendor.

  • Submitting a request without the correct index number; Queens uses a specific numbering format and partial numbers cannot be looked up easily.
  • Not bringing a USB drive when visiting for an audio copy; the court does not supply storage media.

Before You Submit

  • Confirm the audio records office location and hours within the Sutphin Boulevard courthouse complex before visiting.
  • Write the full index number and exact hearing date on your CIV-LT-90 form.
  • Bring a USB drive if you plan to pick up a free audio copy in person.
